Woodworking qualifies me as an Artisan, but it is through glass blowing that the Artist within me has emerged. My design approach is to create decorative glass objects that are both purposeful and aesthetically pleasing.
As I’ve become more proficient and productive I’ve chosen to not sell, but rather to donate my artistic efforts. When someone is interested in commissioning a piece of glass art – whether for themselves or for a gift, I request that they choose a charitable or non-profit organization that we both decide will be worthy of their donation. A price is settled upon, I produce the piece to their satisfaction, and the entire proceeds (not the profits) get forwarded to the agreed upon entity.
